      Meal - Lunch & Dinner

    • Day-2
      Chiang Rai
After breakfast, you will get the unique and long-awaited opportunity to meet the elephants and observe and connect with them in their natural environment. The resort’s elephant camp is home to rescued, orphaned and abandoned elephants and the mahouts who take care of them. The camp has been designed along the lines of the traditional mahouts’ villages found in the hills of Northern Thailand in the days when logging employed the majority of Thailand’s elephants.
You will have the unique opportunity to enjoy an activity with your new four-legged friends and learn the fascinating historical and cultural customs of mahouts and their elephants. The team will share their traditional knowledge and teach you to make medicinal food for the older rescued elephants. After lunch, the afternoon is at leisure. You could spend some time swimming in the stunning infinity pool; book an indulgent treatment or massage in the spa; or just relax and enjoy the view of the convergence of two rivers and three countries — Thailand, Laos and Myanmar.

      Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

    • Day-3
      Chiang Rai
After breakfast, immerse yourself in the delicate art of Thai cuisine as you unravel the secrets behind some distinctly Northern specialties. Your journey begins with a guided tour of one of the bustling local markets where you will learn to select the finest spices and freshest produce, collecting the perfect range of ingredients. It is important to get to know the aromatic herbs, spices and fiery chillis, as many will be added to your dishes to infuse them with flavour.
On returning to the resort, it’s time to put on an apron and roll up your sleeves for the hands-on cooking class. Thai cuisine is a mix of sour, sweet, bitter, salty and spicy – and the magic is in getting the combination of these just right. Under the close guidance of the master chef, you will learn how to transform the raw ingredients into delectable curries, soups, appetisers and traditional desserts. After lunch, the afternoon is free, so you can join more activities in the hotel, explore the jungle surroundings or just chill by the pool.

      Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

    • Day-4
      Chiang Rai
Wake up to another beautiful morning and the sounds of the surrounding lush green jungle. After a delicious breakfast, embark on a boat trip along one of Asia’s famous waterways. From the jetty in the resort, climb into a traditional long-tail boat and set off down the tranquil Rusk River and onto the mighty Mekong River. The infamous and exotically-named Golden Triangle is where the mountainous border regions of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. For centuries, the Thai, Lao, Khmer and Burmese have fought over these borders.
Then, in the mid-20th century, the area became notorious for opium production. The river is a peaceful oasis in an area with an intriguing, exciting and turbulent history. Drift through the heart of these three countries taking in the stunning riverside scenery and evocative landscapes with the jungle-clad mountains in the background. Sadly, it is then time to return and say goodbye to the friendly staff at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp and Resort. After checking out, the driver will transfer you back to Chiang Rai International Airport.
